You have an enemy, and he is a thief, He lies to can access, then works to steal and destroy whatever and wherever he can.  At some point in your life, possibly recently, he has even stolen your joy. In stealing your joy, the enemy diminishes your enthusiasm for all things. He takes from you that which attracts others to you, and thus to God, making you less effective in drawing others to God, the Giver of Joy.
