It is easy to become pessimistic about the future. Political polarization, sociological confusion, relational abandonment, financial insecurities, identity crisis and health concerns. You can often catch yourself waiting in dread for the next negative situation to arrive. That is not the life that Jesus desires for you to embrace. He doesn't eliminate the hard times of life but he does long for you to live in anticipation for what he is doing. The reality of an expectant heart is one that lives in hope, one that learns to walk close with Jesus.
