Jesus doesn't eliminate all illness, sorrow and suffering; even though he healed unknown numbers of individuals.  It is sometimes hard to understand, and I don't profess to have the final say, all of the whys, ways or whats surrounding illness in this life.  But Jesus came to provide a glimpse of Heaven, to show the a way to God.  His miracles provided immediate relief to the human condition but they also provided evidence that he was God. They confirmed the yearning in your hearts of a place free from struggle, from suffering, from sadness, from sickness . . .  And as you come to realize that you are not to love this world to deeply; you also understanding that you are friends with the one who is still The Healer.
