It definitely can be a difficult subject of understanding a Good God and the many actions of bloodshed that he initiated or commanded. Even though we may not understand ever action, there is a tension point from our human perspective between God being good, just, and merciful. God’s sovereign presence determines what is good for his children now and the future, all the while being just in his judgement; some of which is carried out now and some await a moment in the future. All along the journey God provides an invitation, and way out from his determined act of justice.
