Finding Freedom
Freedom, there seems to be a multitude of realities when you consider the word. There is the lack of restraint, the absence of limits, the ability to make up one’s mind and determine one’s direction. These, and probably several others, can sum up the reflections that surround the word and concept. It’s interesting to think that you can work so hard to become free of one thing to become captive by another. Maybe freedom’s special attribute is its ability to help you to become subject – surrendered to something that is greater or leads you into a world that provides so much more to celebrate. And even that freedom maybe only temporary until we realize not every restriction of the past was prison but possibly love camouflaged as guidelines and limits. What freedom is Jesus leading you to?
