Confident Endurance
From childhood, waiting is difficult. When we have an urge, need, or sense we move to satisfy immediately. Waiting or patience usually don’t begin as personal choices, they are developed. The process of their development is often not appreciated and can even be resented. At first, we aren’t mature enough to envision an positive outcome and even as we grow to understand the blessings of a ‘no’ or ‘not now’ we can become grumpy in waiting. It’s good to keep in mind that you don’t want to waste your time racing down dead ends, crashing into walls or settling for less than the best. How much do you understand of the nature of God? Do you trust Jesus?
