Resting Awhile or Stuck

When you read Ecclesiastes chapter three you read the insight that there are seasons for everything; to be born and to die, to plant and a time to harvest, a time to cry and a time to laugh. It doesn’t take long to experience these seasons, but as you move from one season to another there is a transition time.
Whether the transition is like a thunderstorm or more subtle, they can catch you longing for the previous moments. Your reluctance, dread or uncomfortableness often exhausts your heart, mind, body and spirit. The transition may necessitate a time of grief and mourning, bidding you to rest awhile. There is a temptation that it is good to be aware of, that of lingering to long in the transition and becoming stuck. To get stuck means you will miss out on future blessings, memories and even the avenue for your healing. When you come to a transition, the question will come – are you resting awhile or stuck?
